Procedure

Materials
  • Power Drill*
  • 2 1/2 inch screws
  • 3 cans of paint*
  • one 2'' x 8'' x 8ft
  • one 2'' x 4'' x 8ft
  • sand block*
*already owned, not store-bought

Procedure
  1. Get materials
  2. Cut the 2'' x 4'' x 8ft piece of wood into two equal pieces, then cut the 2'' x 8'' x 8ft  into four pieces of 15 1/2'' long and four 8'' long pieces (this will give you ten pieces total)
  3. Take two 8'' pieces and two 15 1/2 pieces then arrange them in a rectangle formation with the 8" pieces being the width. Then secure using the screws (add two on each connected piece, which will then bring it to a total of four screws per 8'' slab). Repeat with your other two pieces of 8'' and the other two pieces of 15 1/2''.
  4. Lay the two pieces of 2'' x 8'' side-by-side, then put the two legs (the 8'' and 15 1'2'') on each end, make sure they are centered. Secure the leg with four screws into the 2'' x 8'', then repeat with the other leg.
  5. Sand the bench down, then you can paint!
